Bettino Francini was born in Montevarchi (Arezzo), Italy on the 12th of May 1948.
1964-1968 After having attended the primary school, he collaborates with his father in the shop of metallic carpentry.
Since 1964 he plays in various European groups as drummer doing experience in the field of experimental music.
1969-1984 He starts his own activity, enlarging his father’s shop and adding, beside the iron, the work with aluminium, copper, steel, brass etc...
1985 He attends the Course of Drawings and Engraving at the Academy " Arte A" and "Leonardo da Vinci" of Florence, Italy.
1986 He attends the Course of Drawings at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence,Italy.
1987-1988 He organizes stages of Painting and Engraving with the Association “ Toscana Stage Verde” in Arezzo, Italy.
1989- 2004 He realizes, above all in foreign countries, 19 monumental sculptures that are permanently installed in urban areas. He participates in 24 international symposia of sculpture in different areas of theworld, working with many types of materials (iron, stainless steel, wood, marble, stone, pressed snow, sand). He founds two theatrical groups “I Replicanti” and “La zattera“ bringing in scene in Italy and in Europe (in the theaters, festivals, discos, events of Contemporary art) 72 performances of avant-garde Theater, based on live experimental music, bodily movement, inflatable imposing elements of scenography and self moving cranes interactive with the public. He plans and realizes 55 interventions of scenography in public places (discos, hotel, theaters) and private spaces in Italy and abroad.
Since 2004 he is World President of A.I.E.S.M., International Association of Monumental Sculpture Events He frequently travels in Europe, America and Asia.
