July 2008 - ItalyThe municipality of Sauze d’Oulx, Torino, Italy with the artistic direction of sculptor Maurizio Perron, AIESM Agent in Italy organized the V International Sculpture Symposium that took place from July 7th to july 13th 2008. The wood - pine – has been provided by the organization, high about 200 cm and large about 60 cm. The working place was in the village of Jouvenceaux , in the forest, in open space. The theme of the symposium was “OLD TRADES OF SAUZE D’OULX” and the figurative sculptures represented the following old trades: SHEPHERD, SPINNER (feminine), PEASANT (feminine), COBBLER –BOOT MAKE, TEACHER (feminine), PARISH PRIEST, BLACKSMITH, CARPENTER, PLUMBER, INNKEEPER, COAL MERCHANT, FARRIER, TINSMITH, CHIMNEY SWWEP, SEAMSTRESS, STREET MUSICIAN, NURSE MAID, MILLER, OFFICER OF THE LAW, PORK BUTCHER.
The realized sculptures remained in the ownership of the Municipality of Sauze d’Oulx.
