August 2006- RomaniaLeonard Rachita, AIESM Manager for France and President of AISS (International Association for sculpture symposiums) organized in Rosia Montana, Romania from the 20th of August to the 15th of September 2006, the first International Monumental Sculpture Symposium on white calcareous stone.
The symposium has been organized by AISS with the patronage of aiap/UNESCO and the following partners: AIESM, AFRA, Alliance Belgo-Roumaine, ICR, Alburnus Maior, Solide, AB.
The following artists have been invited to realize their sculptures during the symposium: Miguel Ausili - Argentina, Hideto Yada - Japan, Roland de
Jong Orlando – AIESM Manager for Netherlands, André Domon - Canada, Ehab Ellaban - Egypt, Adrian Popovici, Mihai Buculei, Sava Stoianov - Romania, Leonard Rachita - Romania,France.
The sculptures will be placed in an open sculpture park that will be on purpose created in the town of Rosia Montana, Romania.
