INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - GERMANY

A German City organizes an international Sculpture Symposium from 8th to 14th September 2019.

The invited artists create objects thought for the outdoor space starting near the city park. The resulting works should provide food for thought for the versatile cultural use of the cycle path and the resulting bike center.
The works of art should invite sustainable use of public space. It is equally desirable to relate to the historical background of the place or to develop it from its historical roots. The artists are free to use the material and develop their project idea. It is worked in public in the city.

Theme: "On the Move" - Art and Cycling

Disciplines:
All artistic means of expression suitable for outdoor use are permitted. Within the framework of the possible art genres such as sculpture, objects, drawing / painting, installations, etc.,

The organization provide to the artists:
- The artists receive a compensation of 1,000.- € after completion of their work, 300.- € of material costs or the free provision of the material on site after arrangement for the production and the construction of their work of art.
Also, more extensive projects can be presented and, in exceptional cases, realized by agreement, the deadline for the production can be extended if necessary.
- Travel allowance at a distance of more than 500 km by appointment. free accommodation and meals (breakfast, dinner); technical support by agreement (transport, construction, etc.)
