AIESM, International Association for Monumental Sculpture Events, promotes the sculpture and the sculptors at international level.

INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - FRANCE

An association of art organize an International Symposium of Monumental Sculpture in stone. The event will be held in September 2019.
Theme: Harmony
Each artist is invited to create an original sculpture and contemporary on this issue.

Material
- The sculptures must be made using the technique of direct shear.
- Material: Marble
- Dimensions: all blocks, 6 carved faces, are the same size: 2,00 / 1,00 / 1,00 mo 2,00 / 0,70 / 1,40 m.
- The sculptures will be made of a single block, and no treatment will be possible during the symposium.
- 6 artists will be selected by a jury after the examination of their project, explanations, models and their experience with the marble. Their selection will be confirmed upon receipt of the project model in 1/10 scale.
Fees: Every sculptor will receive an individual check of € 1,600. Travel expenses will be reimbursed within the limit of € 400.
Room and board paid by the organization for the selected artists.
