INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE WORKSHOP – GERMANYDeadline: April 30, 2025
The 19th International Sculpture Workshop will take place in the Krabatstein - Miltitz quarry in Germany in the summer of 2025. The two-week symposium focuses on granite, which is naturally present on site, but also on oak wood and metal, or combinations of the three materials. The two-week symposium begins on August 18, 2025 and ends on August 31, 2025 with a finissage. Arrival is scheduled for Sunday, August 17, 2025 and departure for Monday, September 1, 2025.
Material: granite, metal and wood.
Dimensions: granite (max. height 1,200 mm x width 1,200 mm x depth 600 mm), metal (unrestricted) and wood (max. height 2,000 mm, with a trunk diameter of at least 700 mm).
Food and lodging: The artist can stay overnight in the quarry in his/her own tent (it is possible to rent one on request), caravan or car, or, on request, in one of the very simple collective accommodations in the quarry (up to 6 people). Simple toilets and hot showers are available.
Travel expenses: not foreseen
Honorarium: The artist receives a contribution of € 1,000. All sculptures made during the sculpture workshop are the property of the organizer; in case of sale, the artist will receive 47.5% of the proceeds.
