MEETING OF SCULPTORS - URUGUAY

A sculpture association invites sculptors from around the world to participate in a national meeting of Wood Sculpture in Uruguay. The event will take place from 16th to 18th March 2018.

Contribution to the Heritage
The works made during the event will be in the city meaning a contribution to the Artistic Heritage. The location in view of the public has a great cultural interest, since citizens will have the opportunity to see and appreciate the work of artists who dominate their craft. Likewise, the public will be able to dialogue with the artists.

The organization will offer food, lodging and tickets once in the country, to each participant.

Materials
The theme is free and the works must be made 80% in wood, being able to incorporate another material if they wish, important the material that is not wood does not contribute the organization. We will work live, in clinical modality. The necessary wood will be provided for the work, (logs, 60 cm diameter x maximum 2 m high, sculptures must be made from 50 cm from the trunk). The sculptor must bring their own tools. The organization will provide naphtha, chainsaw oil, electric power. The artist must send Curriculum Vitae (not exclusive), along with a sketch of the work to be done for the purpose of evaluation.
