INTERNATIONAL STONE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - TURKEY

A Turkish city organizes an International Symposium on Sculpture. The aim of the symposium is to help the city grow with quality artwork.

General conditions
- The symposium will take place from 1 to 30 November 2017.
- 10 artists will participate in the symposium (5 Turkish residents, 5 non-Turkish residents).
- The material to be used is diabase. The organization will provide blocks of 2 m3.
- The theme of the Symposium is "Street sculptures with childlike subject".
- Sculptures created under the symposium will remain in the possession of the city.
- Transportation, accommodation and breakfast, lunch and dinner will be organized by the Municipality.
- Travel costs for all artists will be covered as follows: economy class flight tickets and transfer from the airport. The City will provide air tickets and will send them to the participating artists.
- Each artist who has completed his / her activity over time and place will be awarded a total of € 2000
- Artists should carry their machines, equipment and tools, as well as their expense materials.
- Artists must carry their work tools and have health insurance; the organization will provide electricity, compressed air and roofing, as well as continuous surveillance.
- The work area will be outdoors. Artists should be prepared for time changes such as sudden rain or heat waves.
