INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - TURKEY

An International Stone Sculpture Symposium will be held by a Turkish town from 13th September to 13th October 2017.
The aim of the symposium is to bring quality, contemporary and original work of arts in town, and to contribute to the city's transformation to an open-air museum.

Selection
8 (eight) Artists will be selected among the artists' application files.

Theme
The theme of the symposium is designated as “Music”. Abstract figurative sculptures will be made according to the theme.

Material and Tools
- The material of the symposium is Natural Stone. Each artist will be given 2.5m3 of the material.
- The artists should bring their own cutting and polishing machine, small electrical equipment and tools, and the related expenditure materials.

Food and Accommodation
- The transportation, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner of the symposium artists will be arranged and provided by the management.
- Accommodation is a single room for each artist at a three star hotel.
- Artits will be refounded for their ticket planes up to a maximum of 500 $.

Honorarium
Each selected artist will be paid 10.000 TL.

The artists are obliged to follow the symposium calendar, to be at the symposium area during the working hours, to inform the symposium committee their excuse if any. Exceptional circumstances are evaluated by the committee.
