INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - PORTUGAL

Open call for an International Stone Sculpture Symposium that will take place in Portugal, from 6 to 27 July 2016. National and international artist are invited to apply. Selections will be based on profiles with strong background in working with stone and the use of a contemporary language.
The participants must choose the type of stone (marble, granite and limestone) and dimensions. Eventually, other
materials can be used, in which case sculptors must give detailed description. Each sculpture may consist of several blocks, however, the total must not exceed 3 tons (base not included).
Accommodation and costs
To all participants will be paid stay expenses, such as hotel expenses and meals, as well as 50% of travelling expenses (must present receipt). Extra luggage not included.
PRIZE
To all the sculptors will be paid a prize of 2.500 Euros at the end of the symposium, after completion of the work.
