INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - ITALY

An Italian town, organizes a Sculpture Symposium in white marble, from July 30 to August 6, 2016. Seven artists will be selected and will work marble blocks and develop a personal project on the theme "Identity. Belonging not belonging”.

The call is open to all artists of all nationalities, aged between 18 and 40 years.

Size:
The works must be carried out from a minimum of 30cm to a maximum of 80 cm in height, taking into account that the basic block will not be squared, it will have irregular shape and the idea of the sketch will have to adapt and grow according to the block.
The artists will be provided of:
- White marble quarry
- Additional fittings (chairs, easels, tables)
- Electric energy
- Compressors
Tools for working marble are the responsibility of the artists.

Room and board
The artists will be hosted free of charge at the local accommodation with full board.

Expense accounts, certificates and awards
Each of the seven participating artists will be awarded with € 400 to cover expenses , room and board
+ reimbursement of travel expenses (+ 50 km distance max € 500,00 before taxation, after presentation of all the documentation at the organization) + at the first place in friendly competition 1 special symbolic prize.
