INTERNATIONAL STONE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - FRANCE

A French sculpture association organizes an international stone sculpture symposium to be held in France 5-15, July 2016.
Theme: "Eros / erotica"

Materials and insurance
The association will provide blocks of trachyte (density 2.2 - medium hard), tuff Broc (Piperno, density 1.7 - soft), about 1,5m3 for max 0,5m3 for trachyte and tuff and plates phonolite. The sculptors work in the presence of the public. Artists shall interact with the public and contribute to the animation of the symposium in the discovery of their art. The use of electrical equipment shall be permitted until Wednesday, July 6 to 12, the work will end by using carving manual tools.Insurance during the symposium will be covered by the organizer.

Food - Hosting - Moving expenses
Travel costs are the responsibility of the sculptor. Accommodation and food will be provided by the organizers. Personal expenses such as telephone, drinks outside meals etc. will be borne by the participants. Fees and conditions of residence of any accompanying persons are not covered by the association.

Honorarium
Each sculptor will receive an allowance of € 1,000 (one thousand) at the end of the symposium.
