INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – CYPRUS

A Municipality from Cyprus organises an international Symposium of Sculpture for 2016.
The aims of the symposium are:
- The institutionalization of the event and the establishment of a Sculpture Park.
- The enrichment of the Park by creating new Sculpture Works from different artists around the world.
- The exchange of art knowledge and experiences amongst artists of different cultures
- The contact and acquaintance of the thousands of visitors of the town with the art of Sculpture.
- The enhancement and enrichment of cultural events during the Symposium.

The Symposium will take place in three time periods in 2016:
- from 25th January to 13th February
- from 7th to 26th March
- from 18th April to 6th May

More than 8 artists will participate to this three dates of the symposium.

The Municipality will provide to the participant artists the following:
- free accommodation and full board for a period of three weeks in hotel.
- free materials for the artist’s creation.
- tools and equipment except from the small personal tools which the artist must bring.
- An Entry Visa Invitation for artists from third countries.
- refund of travel expenses on artist's arrival.
- honorarium of 1,000 EUR will be offered to every artist.
