INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE COMPETITION - SPAINDeadline: 6th July 2015 An International Stone Sculpture Contest is organized by spanish museums and foundations. The contest will take place from 31st july to 2nd august 2015.
Selection:
The maximum number of participants is twelve artists. The jury and the competition organizers will select participants from the documentation submitted.
Form of work: The work will be performed exclusively manually, without any power tool, pneumatics, etc.
Material: Sandstone forest. The stone will be provided by the organization. Features: ashlar measures 25 x 25 x 40 cm soft, non-abrasive, almost unchanged density stone. In case of breakage, the sculptor may have another stone and start work again.
Tools: Each sculptor must use his/her own tool, this being exclusively manual time around. However, the organization will provide chisels, hammers, etc ... for if necessary.
Room and board: The organization will provide accommodation and dinner on Friday July 31; accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday August 1st and breakfast and lunch on August 2.
Diplomas and Awards: All symposium participants will receive a certificate of participation.
- Special Jury Prize: 1,000 euros.
- Special Audience Prize: 600 euros.
