ART IN THE GARDEN - ITALY

An Italian Cultural Association announces an art prize for the realization of a site-specific project and for the enhancement of contemporary outdoor. The Association will rely on the management and promotion of the award on the collaboration of a Gallery of Modern Art.

Finality
The garden , whose area exceeds 7000 square meters, includes natural heritage bound by the Ministry of Culture and was recently upgraded with a modern naturalistic setting. The winning Prize will communicate with the natural environment for which it was designed.

The contest will award a cash prize for its development. The first prize for the selected project is € 6,000.00. The author of the winning project will implement a site-specific, which will become part of the collection OF THE Cultural Association and will be displayed in the garden together with the works already belonging to the collection. The projects of the first five finishers will be exhibited too.

Requirements
The Prize is open to all artists aged between 18 and 40 years (1975), regardless of sex, nationality or other qualification. Each artist can submit only one project.
Will be excluded all the proposals qualified as temporary. The artists may propose the placement of their work in the various areas of the garden, with the exception of some particular sites at the discretion of the organization. The location of the work proposed by the artist must still be examined and approved by the jury.

Awards
The first prize for the selected project is € 5,000.00. Additional 1,000 euro are foreseen for the transportation of the winning work and any artist site inspections.
The projects of the first five assessed will be shown at the exhibition space of the Cultural Association.
The winner, from 16 April 2015, has three months to carry out the work designed (by 15 July 2015) which will be officially awarded and placed in the garden in the last week of July.
